Geisinger Medical Center Auxiliary Volunteers...the heart of our program
For more than 30 years, the Geisinger Auxiliary has offered volunteers a wide variety of opportunities in and around the hospital. Members participate in various activities including raising funds, operating gift shops, providing patient services and hospital grounds beautification. Working with the hospital volunteer office, the Geisinger Auxiliary helps to staff the information desk in Geisinger Medical Center's main lobby. Our members also operate the Miracle Square Gift Shop in the Janet Weis Children's Hospital and Abigail's Attic, a thrift and consignment shop located in downtown Danville. Fundraising
Raising funds for the hospital and its special projects is one of the most important services the Geisinger Auxiliary provides. Through the years, the Auxiliary has helped to raise millions of dollars for the medical center and its programs. Through its fundraising, the auxiliary has donated $100,000 towards the Women's Health Pavilion and has helped fund the Community Health Resource Center. Another recent project has been the creation of an informative take-home video to help new mothers with the care of their infants. Our fundraising efforts include: Operation of Abigail's Attic Thrift Shop Miracle Square Gift Shop Holiday craft sales Sponsoring the annual Bridge-O-Rama Supporting fundraising sales at the hospital and in the community
Our efforts help send children with special needs to programs at Camp Victory in Millville and support other programs like Precious Hearts, Kydnie, Spifida, Camp Dost and Horizon. The Geisinger Auxiliary also participates in fundraising activities for the Children's Miracle Network Telethon. Contact Us
