KISS for KIDS Radiothon raises more than $18,000 WILLIAMSPORT -- The third KISS for KIDS radiothon hit the airwaves January 24 and 25, raising $18,045 for Janet Weis Children's Hospital pediatric services throughout the region. The radiothon kicked off with a live broadcast from the lobby of Geisinger's Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville and continued at the Wal-Mart store in Montoursville. Interviews with Children's Miracle Network miracle kids and caregivers were featured throughout the two-day event, and volunteers took pledges from KISS listeners who called in to donate. The radiothon has raised almost $60,000 since its inception. KISS-FM, 102.7 WKSB, is based in Williamsport and is part of the Clear Channel Communications group. |
