Second annual Princess and Pirate Party set for Aug. 14

ALTOONA – Children’s Miracle Network at Geisinger and the Altoona Curve will host a special Princess & Pirate Party at 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at Blair County Ballpark.

Party-goers can enjoy two hours of activities before the Curve’s game against the Reading Phillies. Activities will include a treasure hunt, princess hairdos and nail painting, talk-like-a-pirate lessons, face painting, crafts and more. Snacks will be provided at the event.

Princesses and Pirates who stay for the game will be recognized and will lead the 7th inning stretch. Fireworks also are scheduled for after the game.

Proceeds from the Princess & Pirate event benefit Janet Weis Children’s Hospital pediatric services.
