Certified nurse midwives provide an alternative to many traditional obstetrical and gynecological services. Our midwives are focused on the needs of the individual and family for physical care, emotional and social support and active involvement of significant others according to the cultural values and personal preferences. They encourage continuity of care; emphasize safe, competent clinical management; advocate non-intervention in normal processes; and promote health education for women throughout the childbearing cycle and beyond.

Some of the health care services they provide include: prenatal care, intrapartum care, delivery for low-risk patients, breast feeding, counseling, postpartum care, message therapy for newborns, breast examinations, menopausal care, annual well-woman exams, pap smears and cancer screening.
