Genetics is an old science, which is rapidly becoming a greater part of current medical care. As we learn more about the genes which control our characteristics, we learn more ways to use that information. That information will help us identify and someday treat both rare diseases and common conditions. Genetic services are offered at Geisinger Medical Center to help individuals and families understand how genetics affects them.
