We take our heart for granted until it stutters…hesitates…stops. Then we make sure we have access to expert care and unrivaled technology. Geisinger’s heart program has always lead the region in the latest technology, most sophisticated procedures, and its ability to recruit nationally recognized heart specialists. That’s why Geisinger established in 2001 the Geisinger Heart Institute. As a means of recognizing Geisinger Health System’s full complement of heart diagnostic and treatment technologies, highly skilled staff, and network of facilities. The Heart Institute facilities include The Heart Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center, the Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, and heart services provided at Geisinger Medical Group – Scenery Park. Heart diagnostic services are also provided at more than eight additional locations throughout the communities we serve including Mt. Pocono, Tunkhannock, Lewistown, and Lake Scranton. |
A grateful patient hugs Alfred Casale, MD, Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery, at the Richard & Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. |
