Mr. and Mrs. Kinsley, recent endowment donors to Geisinger’s Department of Otolaryngology, chose to support Geisinger so they could acknowledge the outstanding care they received as patients.
“We respect the physicians both in otolaryngology and at the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, where our grandson Robbie was treated a few years ago,” Mrs. Kinsley says. “The physicians at Geisinger are both thorough and compassionate – they have it all.”
Lifetime residents of the Tannersville area who recently celebrated 50 years of marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Kinsley assumed ownership of the family grocery store, Kinsley’s Market, started by Bob’s father in the early 1950s. The Kinsleys still look to the future: they plan to open a large, more modern market in 2007.
The Kinsleys have spent most of their lives volunteering, leading and supporting civic and community organizations. “By supporting Geisinger,” says Mr. Kinsley, “we hope to insure the future of healthcare in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. We want to do our part to make sure that Geisinger provides the best care for our family and neighbors for generations to come.”
