Every journey begins with a first step. Through the compassionate care and treatment provided by the counselors and staff at Marworth, many brave men and women overcome their life of addiction to alcohol and/or chemical dependency with this “first step.” The bucolic setting provided by Marworth contributes to the care provided at this nationally recognized 91-bed drug and alcohol facility.

This project has resulted in each counselor having a private office to meet with patients when needed. Previously, several counselors shared an office, which made the scheduling of counseling sessions challenging. In addition, several large group meeting rooms are now available for patients and staff. “Counseling is at the center of Marwoth’s fundamental mission and 12-step approach to care,” said Marworth Vice President James Dougherty during the recent dedication of the 9,000 square foot facility. “Providing an atmosphere for patients to talk openly with their counselor is not a luxury, but a necessity.” Your gift to Marworth will provide the “gift of hope” to many individuals who have begun the journey to recovery. - Click here for more information about Marworth.
