| Marworth | | Marworth building new counseling wing | Marworth, Geisinger Health System’s Alcohol and Chemical Dependency Treatment Center, has begun construction of a new $1.8 million counseling wing at its campus in Waverly.
Marworth increased from 77 to 91 beds last year, magnifying its need for additional space. “Demand for Marworth’s services has grown significantly, along with an increased need for individual and group counseling,” stated James Dougherty, Vice President at Marworth. “The new wing will provide 9,000 square feet of appropriate space to meet this need and enable our counselors to continue providing high quality services.” | “At Marworth — and throughout Geisinger — we have a long history of excellence,” stated Glenn Steele, Jr., MD, President and CEO of Geisinger Health System. “Our vision for the future can be summed up by two words—growth and quality.
