The surgical department at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital offers the latest in surgical technology, compasssionate pre-operative and post-operative care and a highly trained staff of medical professionals. Advanced surgical procedures in various specialties are performed each day by our surgical staff.

The surgical department at G-SACH is located on the first floor of the two-year old West Wing. The surgical department is composed of three operating rooms, two endoscopy suites, a five-bed post anesthesia care unit and a nine-bed same-day surgery unit. Both inpatient and outpatient procedures are performed in this unified environment, which promotes your continuum of care.

The surgical suites at G-SACH are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, including the new arrival of digital radiology Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). All scheduling is computerized.
