Kids don’t pick when they’ll be sick

Geisinger’s Janet Weis Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Urgent Care Center is the only facility of its kind in Wilkes-Barre. The center offers the latest in technology and care designed just for children’s urgent medical needs. Same-day, evening and weekend appointments are available and the center is conveniently located next to the main entrance of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre* on Church Street.

The Pediatric Urgent Care Center is a friendly environment where kids can get an appointment to see a doctor when their regular pediatrician isn’t available. As part of the Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre campus, patients of the Pediatric Urgent Care Center have easy access to diagnostic services like lab work and x-rays.

The center accepts most major insurances and the deductible is less expensive than an emergency room visit. But please remember, urgent care is not a substitute for the emergency room. It’s a convenient alternative for same-day care of ailments like belly aches, fevers, bumps and bruises.
