Expanding Geisinger Wyoming Valley’s operating room facilities will enable further growth of surgical services and the development of tertiary and quaternary level services, which will also complement the ongoing enhancements at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. “Geisinger is investing in the health of this region,” said Dr. Glenn Steele, President and Chief Executive Officer. “As the population ages, technology increases, and medicine becomes more sophisticated, we need to continually enhance our programs and services so that we can provide the best possible care for our patients.” Along with new facility construction in Tunkhannock as well as upgrades and renovations currently underway at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, Geisinger Wyoming Valley’s major expansion project demonstrates Geisinger’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery to the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania. |
