About the Henry Cancer Center
In Spring, 2009, Geisinger Wyoming Valley celebrated the expansion of the Henry Cancer Center. The $15 million expansion now brings:
- 14 additional chemotherapy and infusion chairs
- 20 new exam rooms
- Healing Garden
- Social areas for patient camaraderie and support
- Plentiful natural light
The cancer center is also now home to Geisinger’s Brain and Spinal Tumor Institute, staffed by fellowship trained neurosurgical oncologists.
Whatever type of cancer patients face, they can receive the clinical and emotional support of experts like:
• Medical oncologists
• Hematologists
• Radiation oncologists
• Specialized oncological surgeons
• Oncology nurses
• Physical therapists
• Counselors
• Nutrition specialists
At Geisinger’s Henry Cancer Center you can expect to find expert clinical care, personalized care plans and compassion. And with the cancer center’s active volunteers helping patients by giving hand massages and offering companionship, our focus is on helping families through this difficult time.
