Labor & Delivery: Full service maternity care

Our Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Post-Partum (LDRP) suites provide a private, warm and relaxed setting to welcome your new arrival. All the while, you and your family can rest assured that the latest obstetric technology is immediately available. Family and friends can see your newborn in our nursery or online at our iNursery.

All of our labor and delivery services are located in a private wing, with suites designed to room both mom and baby to enhance the bonding relationship. To enrich the experience for the whole family, a team of childbirth educators and lactation consultations help educate new moms and their loved ones on how to care for their newborn. Pediatrics

For premature newborns or for an infant with a serious medical condition, Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center opened the first neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in Luzerne County in October 2011 with pediatric experts ready to care your baby in need.

Janet Weis Children’s Hospital Pediatric Services Unit is an extension of Geisinger’s Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville, the only rural children’s hospital completely dedicated to the care of children.

Center for Women’s Imaging

The Center for Women’s Imaging, located on the Geisinger Wyoming Valley campus, is home to the region’s only coordinated breast care program. The multi-disciplinary team consists of radiologists, pathologists, technologists, surgeons, oncologists and nurses—all specializing in breast health. And for the most difficult situations, like a breast cancer diagnosis, a nurse navigator is available to guide you through your treatment options.

The Center for Women’s Imaging blends a private, comforting setting with the latest diagnostic tools, including:
