Henry Hood Center for Health Research
The Henry Hood Center for Health Research is responsible for fostering and advancing system-wide research, advancing research programs within clinical departments, and devising new models of care that advance Geisinger's primary mission of improving the efficiency and quality of care to patients. The Center conducts research in a number of traditional areas including:
- Studies of the effectiveness of treatments and health services
- Descriptive epidemiology and disease etiology
- Health services and health economics
- Behavioral health in primary care
- Population-based and clinical genomics
- Understanding and addressing rural population needs
