Geisinger operates the house through the House of Care committee, volunteers from the medical center and members of the local community.
The resident manager is a member of this committee. The manager oversees the operation of the house and volunteers assist with day-to-day activities.
Two kitchens, dining areas, TV lounges, living room, and laundry facilities are available for the convenience of guests.
The House is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests may leave a small deposit for a key so that they may come and go as necessary.
We ask a few things of our guests, including:
Guests must be able to care for themselves. Medical care is not provided at the house.
Guests are asked to keep their rooms clean, change bed linens before checking out, and show consideration toward other guests particularly in the common areas.
Full kitchen and dining room facilities allow guests to prepare their own meals. Stickers and marking pens are available to label food, which may be placed in the refrigerator or in kitchen cabinets.
Laundry facilities are available. Guests must bring liquid detergent. Clean linens and towels are provided.
