Founded in 1915, Geisinger is a physician-led health care system, dedicated to health care, education, research and service spanning 40 counties of 20,000 square miles and serving 2.5 million people. Geisinger’s vision - summarized as Heal. Teach. Discover. Serve. - is rooted in Abigail Geisinger’s objective to bring quality healthcare to the residents of northeastern and central Pennsylvania. The system is committed to educating the next generation of caregivers - physicians, nurses, technologists, pharmacists - and to providing lifelong learning for our Geisinger family members. We are fortunate to have a population that remains in the region. This allows us to translate our discoveries through research into actual patient care and to monitor and improve that care.
