| | Mission | Provide excellent training to general cardiologists who wish to become the most technically expert, intellectually balanced, compassionate cardiac interventionists in the world. Vision Our program's philosophy mirrors the institution's vision to provide our trainees with the ability to Heal, Teach, Discover, and Serve. The Fellow's Role Interventional cardiology fellows heal many patients during their training and prepare for a lifetime of healing. They help teach general cardiology fellows, internal medicine residents, and their own patients. They learn how to perform research and make new discoveries during the fellowship year. In all of these ways they learn to serve their patients, colleagues, and co-workers. The Cardiovascular Department at Geisinger Medical Center believes strongly in the development of the complete cardiologist. As such, fellows are treated in a collegial and humane manner, with careful focus on developing the broadest possible clinical range of cardiovascular skills, as well as personal growth. |
