The Department of Pharmacy consists of 108 full-time employees, of which 43 are pharmacists. The pharmacy practice model involves integration of distribution and clinical activities at the patient care level supported by centralized distribution, support functions, and management systems. Currently, we have pharmacists practicing in Anticoagulation, Drug Information, Nutritional Support, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Operating Room, Critical Care Medicine, and Adult Hematology/Oncology Services. Our pharmacists are involved in Drug Therapy Management, Multidisciplinary Patient Care, Decentralized Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacokinetic Consultations, Medication Utilization and Outcome Evaluation, and Medical, Nursing, and Pharmacy Staff Educational Programs.

Pharmacy students from the University of Sciences in Philadelphia, Wilkes University, Temple University, Duquenne University and the University of Pittsburgh, rotate through our hospital and clinics as part of their core hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy and ambulatory care rotations.
