Research

Participation in research is an integral part of our program. Interns may schedule up to four hours each week for research activities to participate in ongoing research projects with faculty members. Treatment outcome research is encouraged. This option is not designed for completion of the doctoral dissertation.

Year-long training experiences
Opportunities are available for year-long training experiences such as serving as a co-therapist in a group, or conducting psychotherapy with patients who need longer-term treatment.

Post-doc opportunities
Interns are often eligible for post-doctoral fellowships, which occur in the year following the internship. Fellowships have been offered in pediatric/child clinical psychology and adult behavioral medicine. By January of the internship year information about post-doc opportunities will be provided to interns.
