Application and Selection Process
Candidates who will earn a graduate degree in healthcare administration (accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education), business administration, or similar graduate programs prior to July 1, will be considered. Previous experience in a health care setting, including completion of a summer administrative internship, is desirable.
To be considered for the program, applicants should submit the following by October 15 of the year preceding the residency year.
Required submission
- Current resume or CV.
- Undergraduate and graduate transcripts of coursework to-date (official or unofficial).
- Three letters of recommendation (from individuals who can knowledgeably evaluate work performance, leadership capabilities and academic experience).
- A brief statement on professional development objectives and career goal (1-2 pages).
Optional submission
- A brief statement of your understanding of the Pennsylvania healthcare market (1 page).

The selection process for the residency/fellowship consists of the following phases:
- Applications postmarked by Oct. 15
- Review of applications by Oct. 24
- On-site interviews conducted prior to Nov. 14 for final candidates
- Notification from the selection committee of their decision shortly after final interview
- Offers extended – November/December
- Employment begins – July 1
