Course
Courses include lectures, assignments, and hands on practice in performing all invasive cardiovascular functions. Classes are taught by program instructors, physicians, and technologists.
Goals
- Provide the educational setting and clinical experience conducive for learning to function as an entry level technologist
- Prepare students for the national registry (RCIS)
- Provide information on job listings and placement
Health
Students must complete and pass a health screening, and drug and nicotine tests at Geisinger Medical Center's Health Services Department and acceptance to the program is contingent on the outcome of the results. Students must also have proof of health insurance on the first day of class.
Liability
Students are covered by the medical center’s liability insurance for training related procedures done in the medical center.
