Electives and additional opportunities

For personal enrichment, interns also select and coordinate 1.5 weeks of electives in the area of interest or for the purpose of additional training.

The wide range of opportunities include nutrition support, home health care, school food service, long term care, community hospital, industry (wellness or consumer services), university food services, restaurant, supermarkets, private practice, research or nutritional sales.

Classes and field trips

Classes and field trips are planned throughout the internship.  The various topics covered in classes enhance knowledge gained form rotations.
