Electives & Sub-Internships Electives are offered primarily to clinical campus students. The remainder of the electives are filled on a competitive basis. You must be from an LCME or AOA accredited medical school to do an elective rotation here at Geisinger.
In addition to the on-line application, unaffiliated students must submit a copy of a current medical school transcript or Dean’s letter documenting academic good standing. Information can be sent via e-mail to medstudents@geisinger.edu. Upon review of the application and availability of elective, students will be contacted with further information. Due to multiple requests for electives, we ask to be notified of cancellations at least two calendar weeks prior to the start of the planned elective.
