School of Radiologic Technology 

Mission

The mission of the School of Radiologic Technology is to utilize effective educational processes, adult learning techniques, and instructional design strategies to provide an educational environment, academic and clinical, which stimulates and facilitates students learning the art and science of radiography and mastering psychomotor skills necessary to the art of medical imaging, so that graduates of the school will be competent radiographers, skilled communicators and problem solvers, and individuals who value and seek professional growth.

Program goals

The School of Radiologic Technology serves its communities of interest and its students through meeting and maintaining the following goals:

  • Students and graduates will demonstrate entry-level radiographic technology knowledge and skills. 
  • Students will demonstrate academic success. 
  • Students will demonstrate clinical education success. 
  • Students and graduates will exhibit professionalism, and indicate professional development intent. 
  • Students and graduates will perform effective critical thinking and problem solving. 
  • Students, and graduates will exhibit professional communication skills. 
  • Graduates’ first-time American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registry examination pass rate meets JRCERT standards.
  • The job placement rate of graduates who seek employment within six months of graduation meets JRCERT standards.
  • Graduates and first-time employers will indicate satisfaction with the program.
