Screening Interview is optional since Geisinger schedules its own interview when application for an open program is received. Geisinger requires a $20 application fee.

• Training fee: $500 for all programs. The fee for all chaplain residents is paid by a grant from the Geisinger Foundation Chaplaincy Fund.
• Resident stipend: $31,283+ benefits per year

The Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. is recognized by the United States Department of Education to accredit programs of clinical education for clergy, other religious personnel and lay persons. Four accredited units of CPE fulfill requirements for certification by the College of Chaplains and the National Association of Catholic Chaplains.
