Internship will involve basic programming, database assistance, and report design for the AU and Operational reporting pods within A.I. Internship will also require the involvement in the rating process and premium financial report preparation performed by Underwriting. Assist Actuarial Analysts with routine and basic ad-hoc report production: run established SQL reports on a routine basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly);validation of reports being created and/or redesigned; schedule and/or update parameters on existing Crystal Reports; run ad-hoc reporting having established criteria to build from. Learn how Geisinger Health Plan’s information is stored and how to extract operational information from the data warehouse and mainframe system. Other duties as assigned.

The student will prepare budget information and will be responsible for the preparation of the FY11 scorecard. Assisting Finance Managers with analysis for position justification and lease vs. buy.
