Clinical Affairs & Clinical Services Programming
The Community Needs and Clinical Service Programming office is focused in the work of community engaged research (e.g., Community Needs Assessment), working collaboratively with community constituencies, including but not limited to focus groups of citizens, municipal and county governments, school districts, social service organizations, healthcare facilities, institutions of higher education, and all those with a mission to promote health and wellness in Pennsylvania, will provide a framework to continue this work.
University Relations Specialist
The University Relations Specialist, Donna Laroya, is responsible for developing new and expanding existing programs with local and regional colleges and universities, primarily to benefit undergraduate and graduate students in non-clinical programs and as wide an array as possible of departments and locations across the Geisinger Health System. This includes internships, externships and cooperative educational opportunities, joint degree programs, adjunct appointments, foreign visitor program, graduate student research, teaching and mentoring opportunities.
Outreach Efforts
Our office is interested in forming relationships with many local and regional college to ensure that students are informed about Geisinger's internship opportunities and the process for obtaining one.
