Geisinger Wyoming Valley
25th Anniversary Thanks to the extraordinary vision and dedication of community leaders, physicians and employees, Geisinger Wyoming Valley has succeeded in reaching a number of significant achievements over the past quarter century. | |
Major milestones including the region’s only dedicated heart hospital, the Geisinger/Fox Chase Cancer Center joint cancer program at The Henry Cancer Center, the opening of the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital Pediatric Services Unit, and Northeastern Pennsylvania’s only organ transplant program are a few examples of our dedication to improving the delivery of healthcare in our region. Thanks to Geisinger Wyoming Valley’s advanced clinical programs and our teams of specialists and sub-specialists, patients, families and the community have access to the region’s finest healthcare. As we embark on the future, Geisinger Wyoming Valley is uniquely positioned for continued growth and expansion of clinical services and programs. Join us as we celebrate our 25 year milestone with a historical journey of our significant achievements. A ceremonial flag raising and rededication ceremony was held to commemorate the occasion. Veterans of the armed services raised the flag as members of the Geisinger community surrounded them.
Employees celebrated the anniversary with a specially designed cake and commemorative gifts. After a few remarks, a handful of employees with more than 25 years of service posed for a photo.
