Psychiatric Nursing

Psychiatric nurses provide care to patients ranging in age from adolescence (14 years) to adults. The unit offers a full range of assessment and therapeutic modalities to our patients. All treatment is individualized to the patients needs and requirements.

Bush Pavilion 2, Inpatient

• Number of Beds: 28
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Type of Patients: Psychiatric ages 14 and up
• Clinical make-up: RNs, LPNs, nurses assistants, clinical nurse educator and unit desk clerks. RNs and LPNs are teamed together  
• Shift availability: 8-hour shifts
• Programs/councils:Conference Committee, Safety Committee, Scheduling Committee

• Services offered: Psychotherapy, education
• Clinical make-up: RN, and a clinical nurse specialist
• Shift availability: 8-hour shifts, 10-hour shifts
• Programs/councils: Geisinger Quality Improvement Team
