Emergency nursing involves fast assessment skills and response to a wide variety of injury or illness, and providing care across all ages and cultures.

Assessment, stabilization, intervention, and patient and family education are key ER nurse tools. Team coordination of care across a multidisciplinary approach with decisiveness in procedures and care. Available in the emergency department is all the advanced equipment necessary to perform all procedures required by the accrediting body. 

Emergency Services

  • Type of Patients: Treatment of all types of patients injuries and illnesses 
  • Clinical make-up: RNs, LPNs, technicians, nurses aides, and unit desk clerks 
  • Shift availability: 8-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts
  • Programs/Councils unique to unit: Unit Practice Council
