From here you can easily reach the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, the Poconos and Lancaster County.
The West branch of the Susquehanna is recognized as a superb bass fishery while smaller streams, like White Deer and Penn's Creek are recognized as excellent trout streams. Boating on the Susquehanna has become popular, and the Fish Commission has developed access ramps at many locations along the river. Dozens of gift and antique shops featuring Amish quilts, specialty gifts and artwork dot the Snyder County countryside.
