Overview
Geisinger's Center for Clinical Studies (CCS) works with sponsors and clinician investigators to offer patients opportunities to participate in studies of investigational medicine, devices, procedures, and therapies. Reflecting the increasingly multidisciplinary nature of clinical trials, CCS helps researchers across the Geisinger system conduct innovative trials in both common and rare medical conditions. These conditions include but are not limited to obesity, diabetes, heart and vascular disease, cancer and stroke.
The mission of CCS is to plan, conduct, foster, and support innovative clinical research to help advance diagnosis and treatment of disease and improve patient care. CCS is committed to accomplishing this mission while simultaneously ensuring that research studies are compliant with relevant legal, institutional federal and international regulations, including good clinical practices (GCP). Moreover, Geisinger has a long-standing commitment to rigorous and uncompromising standards of safety and protection of research subjects.
