Neuroanesthesia

Neuroanesthesia services are provided by anesthesiologists with subspecialty interest in neurologic diseases. Working in an environment where scientists and clinicians are actively involved in clinical and basic research in brain protection, brain and spinal cord monitoring and physiologic changes resulting from anesthesia, our neuroanesthesiologists are well equipped to provide the most advanced techniques and technology for enhanced patient care.

Complete anesthesia care is provided before, during and after surgery for adult and pediatric patients who need diagnostic and surgical procedures within the cranium (upper portion of the skull that protects the brain) and the spinal cord. Neurosurgical, orthopedic and cardiovascular procedures in which the structures of the nervous system are at risk benefit from the use of state-of-the-art technologies, including:

  • Brainstem auditory-evoked responses
  • Digital EEG
  • Somatosensory and motor-evoked potentials
  • Transcranial Doppler
  • 20 MHz Doppler
