The Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center

The Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center is undergoing a $15 million expansion project scheduled to be completed in spring 2009. The expansion provides for additional exam rooms, chemotherapy stations and space for multidisciplinary clinics for cancers of the breast, lungs, brain and gastrointestinal tract. The Henry Cancer Center offers:

  • Complimentary valet service and nearby parking for those who choose to self-park
  • Private waiting rooms for patients and their families
  • Full hematology/oncology services with chemotherapy treatment rooms that facilitate patient discussion and camaraderie; private chemotherapy rooms are also available
  • Full radiation/oncology services with two accelerators for radiation treatment
  • Genetic counseling and bone marrow transplantation consultation
  • Access to clinical trials and research
  • Patient navigator program for breast cancer patients

The Henry Cancer Center is affiliated with the Fox Chase Cancer Center and sits atop East Mountain in Plains Township, offering serene and inspiring mountain views.

Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre Cancer Center

Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre Cancer Center is located a few blocks from Public Square, the heart of downtown Wilkes-Barre. It was opened in December 2007 after a nearly $1 million renovation to what was formerly The Infusion Center.  The Center provides full-time staffing by oncologists and offers:

  • Convenient on-street, lot or garage parking
  • Full hematology and medical oncology services, with four exam rooms and 15 chemotherapy chairs
  • Bone marrow transplantation consultations
  • Access to clinical trials and research
  • Radiation services provided by the Cancer Center of Wyoming Valley under the direction of medical director, Dr. Robert Rostock

Geisinger-Hazleton Cancer Center

Geisinger-Hazleton Cancer Center is conveniently located on Broad Street in Hazleton, just outside the downtown business district. The center has served the Hazleton population for more than 25 years and recently expanded to provide additional exam rooms and chemotherapy chairs. The clinic offers:

  • Full compliment of hematology and oncology services, with radiation treatments provided at nearby Geisinger facilities or at Hazleton Health Alliance
  • Convenient appointment times, in a location close to home
  • Outreach services to Berwick and Coaldale

Geisinger Medical Center

Geisinger Medical Center is an academic medical center nestled along the scenic Susquehanna River in Danville.  All cancer services are provided on campus with access to all providers of cancer care including medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, radiology, surgery and pathology, as well as psychology and psychiatry when appropriate. The center offers:

  • Ample parking with buses running frequently to all clinic and treatment sites
  • Established and efficient multidisciplinary clinics
  • Hematology and oncology services provided in Knapper Clinic, a freestanding facility on campus that offers a more relaxing environment
  • Genetic counseling
  • Bone marrow transplantation
  • Access to clinical trials and research
  • Minimally invasive surgical techniques for many cancers, including robot-assisted prostatectomy
  • Patient navigator program for breast cancer patients

Geisinger-Scenery Park

Geisinger - Scenery Park is located near State College, and provides many cancer services in the office of the patient’s primary care provider for added convenience.  Geisinger - Scenery Park offers:

  • Hematology and oncology services with chemotherapy available on site and in nearby Lewistown
  • Radiation services provided at Mount Nittany Medical Center
  • On site surgical consultations
  • A multidisciplinary clinic for gastrointestinal cancer
  • Access to clinical trials and research
  • Patient navigator program
