The goal of health education is to help individuals, families and caregivers develop a sense of responsibility for health conditions and wellness promotion. Health education not only teaches prevention and basic health knowledge but also helps people re-shape their everyday habits to include more healthy lifestyles choices.
The HCQU offers a variety of FREE trainings on physical and behavioral health care needs for persons who have developmental disabilities. Our primary goal is to assure that the persons served by developmental programs are as healthy as they can be while living a full productive life. The HCQU conducts a variety of classroom trainings in the community for individuals, families and provider staff. Take a moment to look at the 2014 training index which outlines many of our available trainings.
