Camp Horizon checklist
Remember to label all clothing and gear

  • One flashlight
  • Two sweatshirts or sweaters
  • Three pair of jeans
  • Seven shirts, including some long sleeve
  • Three or four pair of shorts
  • One raincoat
  • Two pair of sneakers
  • Two or three pair of medium weight pajamas
  • Nine pair of underwear and socks
  • Two swim suits
  • Toilet articles in non-breakable containers (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb and brush)
  • Two or three beach towels and a washcloth
  • One pair swimming or bathing footwear (flip flops)
  • Any sports equipment that you would like (glove, balls, etc.)
  • Sunglasses if you need them
  • Unusual hat for "Crazy Hat Day"
  • Something to tie-dye such as a white T-shirt, boxer shorts, socks, pillow case, etc.
  • Bedding and pillow (sleeping bag or three blankets and sheets)- Because we will have an
optional night of camping in the tents, a sleeping bag may be most convenient
  • Sunscreen- We will have lots extra around
  • Minimal amount of money for soda, extra snacks or extra shirts (each camper will be given a Camp Horizon T-shirt) or to have during the time at the airport.
  • Any medicines or creams that are used on a regular or as needed basis

Optional Items

  • Camera and film
  • books
  • paper
  • stamps
  • envelops
  • postcards for writing letters
  • any articles you may need for the camp talent show (I would discourage bringing expensive musical instruments although there is safe storage in the Med Shed). The PA system has a microphone, cassette player and CD player. Label CD's right on the disk.

We are not responsible for lost clothing. If anything is left behind, please write or call for it as soon as possible. Do not send good clothing to camp.

Please leave Walkmen, electronic video games, cell phones, pagers and radios at home. Do not bring water balloons, squirt guns, super soakers, shaving cream or silly string.
