As a Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in Pediatrics, Geisinger Medical Center and the Janet Weis Children's & Women's Hospital is committed to the provision of adult and pediatric trauma care through financial, human, and physical resources. This commitment is demonstrated through state-of the-art trauma care delivery to assure adult and pediatric trauma patients receive medical care consistent with the level of institutional accreditation.

Trauma patient care is best delivered at an accredited trauma center. Throughout Pennsylvania there are many accredited centers. In Central Pennsylvania the only Accredited Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics, providing the highest level of trauma care, is Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.

We are accredited by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation who inspects us frequently to assure the highest quality trauma care.
