Did You Know?
Millions of people have some form (mild to severe) of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), or “acid reflux.” The heartburn-like condition can be serious enough to damage the lining of the esophagus. It can also mimic heart attack symptoms (feelings of indigestion), so it’s vital to see a Geisinger gastroenterologist to properly diagnose and treat the problem.
