Geisinger Medical Center offers a women’s colonoscopy clinic
According to the American Cancer society, a colonoscopy is the best way to detect colon cancer. Nearly all colon cancers begin as small, non-cancerous polyps that grow slowly, taking several years to develop. A colonoscopy can help detect these polyps so they can be removed early, before they grow into life-threatening cancer.
All women over 50 should have a colonoscopy every 10 years.
Geisinger’s Women’s Colonoscopy Clinic provides comfort, privacy and personalized care from a team of women. Your physician, anesthetist, nurse and technician will all be women. Now that’s peace of mind.
