The Geisinger Hip and Knee Center combines the latest in orthopaedic technology with one of the most respected orthopaedic teams in Pennsylvania. At Geisinger, the focus is on helping individuals to reach their personal goals, regaining the highest levels of independence and function.

You benefit from Geisinger’s multidisciplinary team approach, and the coordinated care and services we offer. The Hip and Knee Center includes specially trained physicians and nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers.

Elements of our total joint program include preoperative patient and caregiver education, specialized nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and preoperative discharge planning. Gain maximum strength and flexibility after surgery by participating in individual and group physical and occupational therapy sessions.

The Blood Conservation Program is a key component of the Hip and Knee Center, and has reduced transfusion rates following surgery.
