We sponsor regular clinics to test children for various allergies. Our pediatric allergy experts will use the results of the tests to determine the best treatment plan for your child.
For allergies to medicines or insect bites, for example, visit our Adverse Reactions Clinic. On one Monday each month, we provide skin tests to determine allergies to:
- Insect bites
- Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid, or ASA)
- Other medicines
For food allergies, visit our Food Patch Testing Clinic.
For this clinic, we will schedule your child for two visits, three days apart. As part of testing, bandages with small amounts of possible allergens, or items that cause allergies, are placed on the child’s back and/or shoulders. The child is allergic to any allergens that cause a rash or hive.
