Children with cancer or blood disorders often need treatment over several weeks, months, or years. This fact brings challenges of its own, challenges that affect your entire family. Long trips in the car with a child who does not feel well. Disruptions from work. Distance from other members of the family.
For this reason, our staff brings world-class care here to central Pennsylvania. So children can enjoy friends and fun, play and school—every chance they can.
As with any serious illness, the care and support of friends and family is important. If your child needs care overnight, our special unit at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital helps make life as normal as possible. Mom or Dad can stay with their child in the room, or close by at the Ronald McDonald House.
Throughout you child’s treatment, our experts remain vigilant, providing the best care for your child for today and for tomorrow.
