Group Therapy
When you are able to relate to others experiencing similar feelings or issues, you may feel hope and encouragement; you are not alone. Geisinger offers a wide range of group therapy sessions led by expert facilitators. These include:
Child and Parent Groups
- Parent/Child Group—focuses on ADHD/Behavior problems, for children ages 6 to 11
- Preschool Development and Behavior Clinic—for children ages 3 to 5
Adolescent Groups
- High School Group—focuses on family conflicts, relationships for 9 through 12 graders
- Middle School Group—focuses on family conflicts and relationships for 6, 7 and 8 graders
Adult Groups
- Pain Class—support for those living with chronic pain
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills—learn how to cope with impulsiveness, problems related to thinking and decision making
- Women’s Group—support for relationship issues and empowerment for women
- Intensive Outpatient “Light” Program—improve social skills/stability after Intensive Outpatient Program
- Anger Management—help to understand and manage anger
- Tapping Your Strengths—find inner strengths to cope with anxiety and depression
