To evaluate and aid in the treatment of lung disorders, Geisinger has a dedicated Pulmonary Function Laboratory. This facility offers sophisticated testing in a comforting, yet high-tech setting. We have the most advanced equipment for measuring lung volumes and other aspects of lung function, including:

• Flow volume spirometry
• Body plethysmography
• Lung diffusion
• Mecholyl challenge 

We also assess the patient’s activity limits and needs through:

• Exercise and metabolic evaluation
• Disability evaluation
• Evaluation for home oxygen use
