For early detection, screening and evaluation, our sophisticated imaging capabilities at multiple sites throughout the Geisinger Health System help diagnose without delay, so patients can get the treatment they need – as promptly as possible. The services are completely digital, allowing physicians to easily view images and reports in an electronic format using a web-based image management system. 

Thanks to our combination of diagnostic equipment and highly skilled staff, the Division of Radiology at Geisinger is capable of providing a range of imaging procedures including ultrasound, CT scan, nuclear medicine, MRI, interventional radiology and neuroradiology.  

Convenience is the key. That’s why we offer a full range of imaging services at both Geisinger Medical Center and Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Growth of these services is testimony to the efforts of a dedicated team of physicians, nurses and allied healthcare professionals.

Nationally known for its superior work in CT angiography, our CAT scan department at GWV uses the East Coast’s first tilting table for various exams and procedures. These images offer new windows and insight into the human body. Additionally, GWV uses the only in-house, high field strength MRI in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Areas.

Our continual investment in the latest technology such as PET, cardiac MRI and digital radiology, ensures our ability to provide outstanding care.  We are committed to continual excellence in diagnostic services, and look forward to continued progress in diagnostics technology.
