Education and Support

Geisinger’s Rheumatology Team includes clinical nurse specialists to help you manage day-to-day pain or flare-ups. Education about medications, including proper administration of IV therapy, is offered in one-on-one sessions.

Because of the complicated nature and occurrence of rheumatic diseases, Geisinger reaches out to the community to increase awareness through community education programs. Topics include:

• Rheumatoid Arthritis
• Osteoarthritis
• Osteoporosis
• Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
• Gout
• Self-help for Chronic Diseases
