Nurse Midwives 

Certified nurse midwives are part of the Geisinger team for those mothers who prefer a more natural form of childbirth either for personal or cultural reasons.  If your midwife determines your pregnancy to be high risk, she may recommend that a physician be present for the birth.

Our nurse midwives encourage continuity of care; and emphasize safe, competent clinical management during labor and delivery. They provide emotional and educational support through the natural stages of childbirth and beyond.
