Although we have helped to welcome thousands of babies into the world, we don’t believe in the phrase “routine delivery.” Every situation calls for the most comprehensive care. And every baby is special.
When you arrive to deliver your baby at Geisinger Medical Center or Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, you’ll find a whole team of professionals dedicated to your baby’s birth.
You may have chosen to have a nurse midwife at your side, or the traditional care of our Fellowship-trained obstetricians and obstetric nurses. At Geisinger, we want you to have the best childbirth experience. From the comfort of our “all-in-one” rooms (mothers stay in one room through labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum care) to having members of your family present during the birth, it all revolves around you.
If your obstetrician determines that you need to have a Caesarean section, we maintain several Caesarean suites on the same floor. We are equipped with the most progressive technology to address high risk situations.
