The Domestic Violence Program at Geisinger provides services for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, prevention activities, advocacy, and leadership to the health care community aimed at eradicating violence and sexual abuse. Medical advocacy is the health care-based identification of domestic violence and sexual abuse victims seeking support, information, education, resources and follow-up services through medical treatment within the health care setting.
Patient services
Services are provided to all victims of domestic abuse or sexual assault and their children, as well as those who need support for a loved one who has been hurt. All services are free, confidential and available 24 hours per day/7days per week.
